Decker — Hunt

 Deborah Charmaine Decker and Stephen Lee Hunt were united in marriage at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 16, 2010, at Lincoln Park in Zionsville, Ind., with Dr. Barton Updike officiating double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dorothy and the late Arlie R. White of Indiana.
The groom is the son of Raymond and Tonya Hunt of Fort Wayne, Ind. The late grandparents of the groom, Iona and Lee Hunt of Ramsey, and Hazel and Floyd Little of Vandalia, were honored during the ceremony and reception.
The bride wore a Justin Alexander bejeweled champagne-colored strapless gown with train and carried melon-colored roses.
She chose Shelly Crimans of Indianapolis, friend of the bride, as the matron of honor.
The groom chose Eric Hirsh of New Jersey, friend of the groom, as the best man.
Flower girl was Hannah Grace Decker, granddaughter of the bride.
The procession music and accompanist on the harp was Sherri Watson, with a special surprise for the groom: the singing of “People Who Need People” by close friend Leslie Beauchamp of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Following the ceremony, a cake and champagne reception was held at The Sanctuary in Zionsville.
Attending the ceremony and reception from Fayette County were Sherman and Barbara Hunt of St. Peter, uncle and aunt of the groom; George and Shirley Little of Vandalia, uncle and aunt of the groom; Jeff Little, Jay and Gayla Little and Brooke Haller, cousins of the groom; and Mike and Suzanne Bandy, cousins of the groom; and, from Chicago, Scott, Melissa, Olivia and Daphne Suckow, cousins of the groom.
Lincoln Park is a 1-acre park nestled in the village where Abraham Lincoln, on his way to Washington, D.C. to be inaugurated to the Presidency of the United States, stopped to visit in 1861.
The bride is a student at Ivy Tech Community College, and the groom works for IBM in Indianapolis.
The couple honeymooned in St. Croix, USVI.
A reception/open house was held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 1, at the Lee Hunt home in Carson Township, rural Ramsey.
