Davis’s phone call helps get Carrolls reunited

After many years of being miles apart, a brother and his two sisters were recently reunited after a phone call made by Marie Davis of Vandalia.
Charles Carroll, Brenda Carroll Davis and Retta Carroll Evans were reunited in West Frankfort at the home of Dean and Brenda Davis.
On March 19, a retirement dinner was held at the Davis home to honor Brenda’s husband, Dean, who was to retire on April 1 from the Illinois Department of Corrections after 25 years.
Those attending were Dean and his wife Brenda, their daughter Jennifer Thompson and her husband Aaron, and their son Dustin;  Charles Carroll and son Levi and his friend Blythe Richards; and Retta Evans and grandson Hudsen Evans.
The family was most grateful for Marie’s help in getting them back together.
