CSX will fix Remann crossing

After hearing numerous complaints from local residents, CSX Railroad plans to rehabilitate the Remann Street crossing.

However, the crossing will not be improved to the level desired by city officials, and CSX apparently doesnt plan to make improvements to other crossings in town.

Vandalia Mayor Rick Gottman announced at a city council committee meeting on Tuesday afternoon that a company official told him that CSX will close the Remann Street crossing for two-three months to repair the crossing.
