In recent years, members of the Fayette County Board have said that they have got to stop using money set aside for capital improvements to meet payroll and other expenses.
On Tuesday night, they voted to do just that … at least for the time being.
After a 45-minute discussion, the board voted 8-4 to reject a plan to transfer $250,000 from the capital improvement fund for regular expenses.
