County delays action on Wodtka's replacement

The Fayette County Board decided on Thursday to delay a decision on who will run the county's circuit clerk's office when Marsha Wodtka retires at the end of this month.

Board Chairman Steve Knebel said that a vote on the issue has been delayed to give the Fayette County Republican Central Committee more time to submit its recommendation on a temporary circuit clerk. He said that the Democrat Central Committee has submitted its recommendation.
