? A volunteer appreciation and training program will be held at OUR PLACE Youth Center, 507 W. Gallatin St., Vandalia. All people interested in helping at the center are invited to attend.
Saturday, February 26

? Family Video is hosting a "Just Dance" competition to benefit Fayette County Relay for Life from noon-4 p.m. Registration is through Saturday at Family Video. First price is a $10 gift card and game discount card valued at $14,95, second prize is a $20 gift card and third prize is a $10 gift card. Drawings will be held every hour, and those purchasing suns or moons in honor of loved ones who have had cancer will be eligible for a drawing. ? The Fayette County Republican Central Committee will hold its annual Lincoln Day Dinner at the American Legion Home. The event will include a social hour at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. and addresses by a number of Republican state and federal legislators. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. ? The Vandalia Main Street Program will hold its annual "Nite at the Races" at Vandalia Country & Golf Club. A social hour begins at 6 p.m., and post time is 7 p.m. Admission is $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at Holiday Inn Express, 21 Mattes Ave., Vandalia.

? Evans Public Library in Vandalia will hold a lapsit story time at 10 a.m. The theme is "Luck of the Irish."
? The Vandalia Rotary Club will meet at noon in the Lincoln Room at Ponderosa Steakhouse.
? Heartland Human Services will hold a Caregiver Connection seminar from 3-4 p.m. in the conference room at Brookstone Estates, 1607 W. Fillmore St., Vandalia. The topic of this month's seminar is "Golden Circle Nutrition Program," and it will be presented by Jen Sporleder of CEFS Economic Opportunity Corp. Refreshments will be provided. ? The Vandalia Chamber of Commerce will meet in the Lincoln Room at Ponderosa Steakhouse. A noon luncheon is followed by a business meeting and program.
? TOPS IL 2020 will meet at 5:45 p.m. in the Fayette County Hospital conference room. Weigh-in is from 5-5:40 p.m.

? The United Methodist Men at First United Methodist Church in Vandalia will hold their annual pancake and sausage supper from 4-7 p.m. in Wesley Hall at the church, located at 127 N. Fourth St., Vandalia. Donations will be accepted. The proceeds will help fund United Methodist Men projects.
? TOPS IL 1872, Ramsey, will meet at the Christian Church in Ramsey. Weigh-in is at 6:20 p.m., and the meeting is at 7 p.m. For more information, contact Donna Morell at 423-2916.
