Coal City woman killed in wreck

A Coal City woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident last Friday morning.
According to Fayette County Coroner Bruce Bowen, Sharon Lang, 68,  was crossing a rocked parking lot at the intersection of North Eighth Street and Janett Avenue on a 2007 Honda Gold Wing when she lost traction, causing her to roll the throttle open.
Bowen said Lang's motorcycle crossed Janett Avenue and crashed into a block retaining wall.
She was transported to Fayette County Hospital, where she was pronounced dead by Bowen.
