City gets funds for Sunset work

-A A +A
By Dave Bell

The city of Vandalia on Tuesday received state transportation funds to cover the costs of preliminary work on a project to upgrade Sunset Drive.
The $150,000 in reallocated money was presented to Vandalia Mayor Rick Gottman by state Sen. Kyle McCarter (R-Lebanon). It will be used for design and engineering work on the portion of Sunset Drive between Jefferson Street and Veterans Avenue.
“This will get the project ‘shovel ready’ when other funding becomes available,” said Gottman.
