State Rep. John Cavaletto was on hand for Monday’s meeting of the Vandalia City Council, and he came bearing a gift.
Cavaletto announced that the state would be releasing to the city $100,000 in grant funds.
Those funds, which will be used to construct a new building for the city’s sexton, were obtained by Ron Stephens during his tenure as the state representative for this area, Cavaletto said.
