Next Lenten Luncheon at St. James

The Lenten Luncheon next Wednesday, March 30, will be held at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church at noon.
The speaker will be Al Schumacher. Special music will be played by a handbell quartet, directed by Dorothy Donley. Richard Tucker, pianist for Zion Lutheran Church in Loogootee, will provide music during the meal.
Food for the meal is provided by members of St. James Lutheran, Zion Lutheran and First Presbyterian churches.

Wanda Mountain Boys at The Barn

The Wanda Mountain Boys will be performing from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, at The Barn in rural Pana.
The Barn, which is located east of Pana three miles, south two miles and east half a mile.
Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

Revival planned at Greenridge

Greenridge Church of rural Alma will be holding a revival through this Sunday, with the Rev. Steven Clemens preaching.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. nightly and 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The church is located eight miles east of Patoka High School on Kinoka Road and one mile south on Bilek Road.

Litchfield Deanery meeting March 30

Catholic women of the Litchfield Deanery are invited to a deanery meeting next Wednesday at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Staunton.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass by the Rev. George Radosevich at 10 a.m., a business meeting and a luncheon
The Litchfield Deanery includes Catholic parishes in Christian, Fayette, Macoupin and Montgomery counties.
Lutheran women meeting set for April 2

The Central Illinois District of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League will hold its 66th annual convention on April 2 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria.
This year's theme is "Prepare, Serve, Strengthen." The Rev. Bill Engfehr is the featured speaker.

Women's seminar April 1-2 in Greenville

Christian author and speaker Priscilla Shirer will speak via simulcast for a "Going Beyond: Life Interrupted" women's seminar that will be presented on April 1-2 at First Christian Church in Greenville.
Shirer has a soon-to-be-released book titled "Life Interrupted: Navigating the Unexpected."
