Bible camp set for next week at Overcup
Overcup Baptist Church will host a Bible camp for children ages of 4-12 next Monday through Friday.
The camp runs from 6-8:30 p.m. each evening.
Among the activities planned are daily Bible adventures, crafts, music and snacks.
 
VBS 'Beach Bash' to be held at Kaskaskia
A Vacation Bible School Beach Bash will be held the weekend of June 24-26 at Kaskaskia Church in northeast Fayette County.
The VBS is open to children from 4 years through sixth grade.
Included on the program will be Bible stories, crafts, games and songs.
The church is located 2.5 miles west of Wright's Corner. For more information, call Cindy Ireland at 829-5397.

One-day Bible camp planned at Temple
Temple Baptist Church will hold a one-day Bible camp for children from kindergarten through sixth grade on Saturday, June 25, from 9:30 a.m. until 4:45 p.m.
Included in the day's activities will be Bible study, crafts, singing, lunch, recreation and snacks.
Children must arrive by 9:30 and be picked up by 5 p.m.

Fourgiven Quartet concert on June 25
The Fourgiven Quartet will present a concert on Saturday, June 25, at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Vandalia.
A free-will offering will be taken.  

Liberty Christian VBS will be next week
Liberty Christian Church will hold its Vacation Bible School next Monday through Friday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the church, which is located north of Brownstown. The theme for this year is "Panda Mania – Where God is Wild About You."
Participants are asked to pre-register and send a check for $5 if they want a T-shirt. For more information, call 347-2271.
 
Chicken fundraiser at St. Louis Church
A fundraising fried chicken meal will be held on Sunday, June 26, at the Parish Center of St. Louis Church in Nokomis.
The meal, which consists of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken and noodles, vegetables, cole slaw, rolls, homemade desserts and drinks, will be served from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The price for the meal will be $8 for adults and $4 for children from 6-12 years. Children 5 and under are free.
Carryouts are available for $8.

FWC plans to host VBS this Saturday
Family Worship Center in Vandalia will be hosting a Vacation Bible School for students from pre-K through sixth grade this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Under the theme of "Surfin’ Through the Scriptures Beach Party," the one-day VBS will encourage children to develop Beach Be-Attitudes: Be Obedient, Be Kind, Be Forgiving, Be Bold and Believe.
 Participants will be able to make crafts, sing songs, experience  science activities and enjoy snacks.
The Family Worship Center is located at 1803 Janett Ave.

Mother of Dolors schedule change
Mother of Dolors now has a different schedule for its services on Saturday.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered from 3-3:45 p.m. and the Saturday Liturgy will be celebrated at 4 p.m.
The time for the Liturgy is an hour earlier than it was previously.

Revival Run set for Saturday, July 16
Liberty Christian Church will be holding its annual Revival Run on Saturday, July 16, beginning at 7 a.m.
The event includes a 4-mile competitive run or a 2-mile fun walk.
Participants can register the day of the race, beginning at 6:30 a.m., or pre-register by calling Erin Schaub at 267-9512. Her e-mail address is erinbeth75@hotmail.com. The registration fee is $20.
Pre-registered participants will receive a T-shirt.
All proceeds will benefit Liberty Christian Church youth groups.
