Farina patriotic gospel concert Saturday

A patriotic gospel concert will be held in the Farina City Park this Saturday in conjunction with the Independence Day celebration there.
The concert, hosted by John and Judy Roberts, will include the FourGiven Quartet of Vandalia and the Shepherdsmen Quartet from Woodlawn.
The concert will begin at 4:30 and conclude at 6:30 p.m. on the stage in the Farina park.
Those attending the concert are asked to bring lawn chairs to sit on during the concert.

Evening service Saturday at Immanuel

Immanuel Lutheran Augsburg Church will hold an evening worship service this Saturday, beginning at 6 p.m.
The church is located at the intersection of 900N and 1300E on the St. Peter Blacktop, four miles east of U.S. Route 51.

First Baptist holds musical praise night

First Baptist Church of Vandalia held a musical praise night on Sunday, June 24. Several individuals contributed their musical talents, and the congregation participated by singing songs.
Michelle Weaver served as emcee, and she introduced the performers: Leanne Bales, Karen Buckles, Patty Sprague, Arika Craig, Nick Trible, Nathaniel Weaver, Ryan Paine, Ailen Drinkard and Randy Sprague.
Refrshments were served in the fellowship hall after the concert.
