Sunrise service, breakfast set at Northside

Northside Christian Church will be holding a sunrise service this Sunday, beginning at 6:30 a.m. It will be held outside, weather permitting.
Immediately following the service, a free breakfast will be served by the men of the church. The regular service will be at 9 a.m.

St. James, Zion to hold sunrise services

An Easter sunrise service will be held at St. James Lutheran Church in Vandalia at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.
A sunrise service also will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Loogootee at 9 a.m.
Breakfast will be served after both services.

Metro Church to hold two Easter services

Metro Community Church will hold two services on Easter morning – one at 9 a.m. and the second at 10:45 a.m.
The church meets in the gymnasium of Vandalia Junior High School.

Four-Mile Church to hold sunrise service

Four-Mile Christian Church will be holding an Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m. this Sunday.
The service will be followed immediately by a breakfast, then Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and the worship service at 10:30 a.m.

Bankester concert is April 7 at Liberty

The Bankester Family will be performing Christian bluegrass music at Liberty Christian Church in rural Brownstown on Sunday, April 7, at both the 10 a.m. worship service and at a 6 p.m. concert.
There is no admission charge for the concert, but a free-will offering will be taken.
The church is located 5.5 miles north of Brownstown.
Easter services set at First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Church of Vandalia will hold Maundy Thursday services at 7 p.m. this Thursday. A light supper will be served at 6 p.m., prior to the service.
On Easter Sunday, the church will hold worship services at 10:30 a.m.
The church is located at 1221 Fillmore St.

Movie night is April 6 at Crown Point

Crown Point Church will hold a movie night on Saturday, April 6, at 6 p.m. The featured movie is "Crossroads," a movie about forgiveness that is based on a true incident. It stars Dean Cain and Peri Gilpin.
The showing of the movie is free and open to people at least 12 years old.
Snacks and soft drinks will be available after the movie, during a discussion of the issues it raises.

Joylanders to perform April 6 in Bethalto

The Joylanders, a Southern gospel group from Trenton, Tenn., will present a concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at Bethalto Church of God.
The church is located at 800 E. Bethalto Drive in Bethalto.
The concert is free, but an offering will be taken.
