VCA trivia night set for next Friday

Vandalia Christian Academy will hold a trivia night and auction on Friday, Jan. 24, in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event begins at 6:30 p.m.
All proceeds will be used to benefit the school by supplementing a teacher's salary, purchasing school supplies and supporting a field trip for the students.
In addition to the 10-category trivia contest, the evening will include a silent auction and a live auction. Included in the items to be auctioned are two T-shirt quilts – one made of St. Louis Cardinal shirts and one made of Christian T-shirts. Other large items will be auctioned as well.
Available during the event are various concessions – hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, chips, candy bars, popcorn, soda, tea and lemonade.
Teams of six to eight people each are invited to participate. The cost per person is $12. Teams will work together to answer questions, and the teams with the highest scores at the end of the night will be awarded prizes. For more information, call 283-9901.

Women's study on Daniel starts Jan. 23

The first part studies Daniel’s life, as he faced pressures and temptations similar to those that Christians encounter today.
The second part explores the prophecies from the time of Daniel to the second coming of Jesus Christ.
For more information or to enroll in the study, call Faye Watson at 267-8487.
