Revival is Sunday at Northside Christian
Do you want to “fan the flame” you once had? Maybe you once had a “fire” to worship and serve the Lord, but circumstances in your life – or even church – put that fire out!
Are you looking to reignite that flame? Are you looking to have in you the same fire you see in others?
Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St. in Vandalia, will hold a one-night revival on Pentecost Sunday, this Sunday, at 6 p.m. under the theme of  “Fan the Flame.”
Weather permitting, the revival will be held in a tent in the west parking lot. Music will be provided by Janie Steele.

Brownstown First Baptist to hold VBS
First Baptist Church of Brownstown will hold Vacation Bible School next Monday through Friday. The sessions will run from 6-8:30 p.m.

Liberty Christian VBS is June 20-24
Liberty Christian Church will hold its Vacation Bible School June 20-24 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the church, which is located north of Brownstown. The theme for this year is "Panda Mania – Where God is Wild About You."
Participants are asked to pre-register and send a check for $5 if they want a T-shirt. For more information, call 347-2271.
Chicken fundraiser at St. Louis Church
A fundraising fried chicken meal will be held on Sunday, June 26, at the Parish Center of St. Louis Church in Nokomis.
The meal, which consists of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken and noodles, vegetables, cole slaw, rolls, homemade desserts and drinks, will be served from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The price for the meal will be $8 for adults and $4 for children from 6-12 years. Children 5 and under are free.
Carryouts are available for $8.

FWC plans VBS on Saturday, June 18
On Saturday, June 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Family Worship Center in Vandalia will be hosting a Vacation Bible School for students from pre-K through sixth grade.
Under the theme of "Surfin’ Through the Scriptures Beach Party," the one-day VBS will encourage children to develop Beach Be-Attitudes: Be Obedient, Be Kind, Be Forgiving, Be Bold and Believe.
 Participants will be able to make crafts, sing songs, experience  science activities and enjoy snacks.
The Family Worship Center is located at 1803 Janette Drive.

Mother of Dolors schedule change
Mother of Dolors now has a different schedule for its services on Saturday.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered from 3-3:45 p.m. and the Saturday Liturgy will be celebrated at 4 p.m.
The time for the Liturgy is an hour earlier than it was previously.

Revival Run set for Saturday, July 16
Liberty Christian Church will be holding its annual Revival Run on Saturday, July 16, beginning at 7 a.m.
The event includes a 4-mile competitive run or a 2-mile fun walk.
Participants can register the day of the race, beginning at 6:30 a.m., or pre-register by calling Erin Schaub at 267-9512. Her e-mail address is erinbeth75@hotmail.com. The registration fee is $20.
Pre-registered participants will receive a T-shirt.
All proceeds will benefit Liberty Christian Church youth groups.
