St. Patrick's dinner is Sunday

The annual St. Patrick's Day corned beef and cabbage dinner at Mother of Dolors Parish Center in Vandalia will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Sunday.
The meal includes corned beef and cabbage, ham, hot dogs, side dishes, desserts and drinks. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children over 5, and free for children 5 and under.
Carryouts will be available; to order, call 283-8738. All proceeds go the Right to Life programs.
Revival planned at Greenridge

Greenridge Church of rural Alma will be holding a revival March 22-27, with the Rev. Steven Clemens preaching.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. nightly and 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The church is located eight miles east of Patoka High School on Kinoka Road and one mile south on Bilek Road.

'What Do Lutherans Believe?'

A class titled "What Do Lutherans Believe?" will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia, beginning on Sunday, March 20, from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
There are no fees, and participants are not obligated to join.

Lutheran women meeting set

The Central Illinois District of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League will hold its 66th annual convention on April 2 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria.
This year's theme is "Prepare, Serve, Strengthen." The Rev. Bill Engfehr is the featured speaker.

Women's seminar in Greenville

Christian author and speaker Priscilla Shirer will speak via simulcast for a "Going Beyond: Life Interrupted" women's seminar that will be presented on April 1-2 at First Christian Church in Greenville.
Shirer has a soon-to-be-released book titled "Life Interrupted: Navigating the Unexpected."
Registration is $8 by March 15 and $10 after March 15.

St. Paul’s men plan barbecue

The men of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will host a barbecue lunch this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Included on the menu is homemade pork barbecue, baked potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, applesauce, desserts and beverages. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under age 6.
The church is located seven miles east and one mile south of Shobonier, or five miles west and one mile south of St. Peter. For more information, call the church at 349-6291.

Revival at MG First Baptist

First Baptist Church of Mulberry Grove will sponsor a spring revival, beginning this Sunday and continuing through next Wednesday. The theme is "Stepping Up!"
Leading the revival will be evangelist Andy Johnson of Ft. Worth, Texas, and musician Terry Coker of Fenton, Mo.
Service times will be 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, and 6:30 p.m. on Monday through Wednesday.

Bankesters concert March 20

Liberty Christian Church will host a concert by the Bankester Family at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 20. Admission is free.

Litchfield Deanery meeting

Catholic women of the Litchfield Deanery are invited to a deanery meeting March 30 at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Staunton.
Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass by the Rev. George Radosevich at 10 a.m., a business meeting and a luncheon
The Litchfield Deanery includes Catholic parishes in Christian, Fayette, Macoupin and Montgomery counties.

Fourgiven Singers at Temple

Temple Baptist Church of Vandalia will host the Fourgiven Singers in a concert at the church on Saturday, March 19. The concert begins at 7 p.m.
