'Total Money Makeover' at Northside

Northside Christian Church will present Dave Ramsey's "Total Money Makeover," beginning this Sunday.
The one-hour classes will meet every Sunday from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the church. There is no cost to attend, as material will be provided by the church.
Those who are planning to participate are asked to contact the church (283-1970 or www.northsidecc@att.net) so that enough workbooks can be ordered.
The material will be taught by Wes Rommerskurchen, who has an MBA degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.

Methodist Men to host fish fry Thursday

The United Methodist Men of First United Methodist Church of Vandalia will host their annual fish fry this Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in Wesley Hall. Please enter from the back parking lot.
Tickets for the event are $3 for children and $6 for adults.
All of the proceeds from the fish fry will be used to buy coats and shoes for needy children in Fayette County.

Soup, sandwich at Brownstown church

Brownstown First Christian Church will host a soup, sandwich and dessert lunch this Sunday at noon at the church.
 The meal will include various soups, sandwiches and desserts.
There will also be a "whole dessert" auction following the meal. Donations for the meal will be accepted, with all proceeds being given to Larry and Judy Pilger to help with expenses during Larry’s cancer treatments in Chicago. The public is welcome.

Revival at Cowden Free Methodist

Evangelist John Juneman will be holding revival services on Nov. 13-16 at Free Methodist Church in Cowden.
He is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University, Nazarene Theological Seminary and Fuller Theological Seminary.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13, and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 14-16. A potluck lunch will be held at noon on Sunday.
