? There is no bingo at the American Legion Home in Vandalia.
? A Nar-Anon meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St., Vandalia.
? The Vandalia Community High School band is holding a spaghetti dinner from 4-7 p.m. in the VCHS cafeteria. Spaghetti and sides are being provided by Joe's Pizza. Tickets are $10 and are available from band members and at the door.
? The second annual Vandalia Alumni and Friends Pep Band Night is when the Vandals play Greenville in boys basketball.

Saturday, February 9

? Evans Public Library in Vandalia is holding a Groundhog Day Story Saturday at 1 p.m. Children of all ages are invited to listen to stories and make a craft.
? The Vandalia Statehouse is holding its annual Lincoln's Birthday celebration at 1 p.m.

Sunday, February 10

? The Shoal Creek Chapter of Abate is holding a chili cook-off at 1 p.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge, with three classes – mild, medium and hot. Registration is from 1-2 p.m., and the entry fee is $5. Judging is from 2-3 p.m., with prizes in each class. The event includes an in-house benefit run, attendance drawing, live auction and door prizes.
Monday, February 11

? The Vandalia Lions Club is holding its Sweetheart Night at Northside Christian Church, with the meal at 6 p.m.

Tuesday, February 12

? The Vandalia Rotary Club meets at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.
? The Fayette County Board meets at 7 p.m. in the large courtroom at the Fayette County Courthouse in Vandalia.

Thursday, February 14

? Evans Public Library's Homeschool Group meets from 1-2 p.m. at the library. Anyone interested in joining the group should contact Shawna Sprague at the library, 283-2824.
