 Soroptimist International of Vandalia invites all women to its program meeting at noon in the Lincoln Room at Ponderosa Steakhouse. The upcoming vote on a sales tax increase for county schools will be discussed. All guests are welcome to purchase lunch. ? An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 2-7 p.m. at Ramsey Grade School.

? No bingo at the American Legion Home in Vandalia.
? A Nar-Anon meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St., Vandalia.

Saturday, March 23

? The Vandalia Historical Society will present a Casino Night from 6-11 p.m. at the Vandlaia Moose Lodge. Tickets are $50 and include hors d'oeuvres, beer and $1,000 in playing chips.
Monday, March 25

? The Vandalia Lions Club meets at Ponderosa Steakhouse in Vandalia. The meal is at 6 p.m. and club meeting at 6:30 p.m.
? An Alzheimer's support group meets at 6 p.m. at Aperion Care, 221 Cumberland Road, St. Elmo.

Tuesday, March 26

? An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from noon-5 p.m. at Mulberry Grove High School.
? The Vandalia Rotary Club meets at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.

Wednesday, March 27

? Lunch and Learn, held by Citizens for Fayette County Schools, will be held at noon at the Kaskaskia College Vandalia Campus on West Fillmore Street. It will include information about the proposed 1-percent sales tax increase for Fayette County schools and a question-and-answer session. Lunch will be provided by Blind Society.

Thursday, March 28

? The Greater Fayette County Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual Cardinal Luncheon at the American Legion Home in Vandalia. Danny Cox will be the speaker and participate in a question-and-answer session. Doors open at 11 and a ballpark-menu lunch by Blind Society is at 11:30. Tickets are $15 each and $10 for children under 18, and available at First National Bank's main office in Vandlaia, Heart and Home Realty and Blind Society. Tickets must be purchased by Monday.? ? "Sowing Seeds for Life," a fundraising banquet for Lighthouse Pregnancy and Health Services, will be held at the Vandalia Moose Lodge. Registration is at 6 p.m. and dinner is at 6:30 p.m.
