Saturday, February 8
? A vendor fair and auction to benefit the Vandalia Performing Arts Center will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Los Amigos Restaurant on Veterans Avenue. The event will include more than 15 vendors, a bake sale and kids' beauty booth, 50/50 raffle and cheer and dance performances.
? The annual Lincoln Victory Ball will be held at 7 p.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge. Admission is $5, but those in period dress will be admitted free. The ball includes live music by Salt Creek Band with a caller, door prizes and refreshments of the 1860s, such as pies and cobblers. Sunday, February 9
? The Shoal Creek Chapter of ABATE will hold its annual chili cook-off, a benefit for its food and toy run, at 1 p.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge. Prizes will be awarded in three divisions – mild, medium and hot. The entry fee is $5. Judging is from 2-3 p.m., and awards will be given at 4 p.m. The event will include an in-house benefit run, attendance drawing, live auction, door prizes and an odometer contest. ? The annual Lincoln's Birthday program will be held at 2 p.m. at the Vandalia Statehouse. Lincoln presenter Joe Woodward will deliver Lincoln's farewell to Springfield address in the House of Representatives chambers. The program is free and open to the public, and there will be a live video and audio feed on the first floor. Light refreshments will follow the program.

? An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 1-6 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church on U.S. Route 40 in St. Elmo.
? The Vandalia Lions Club will hold its Sweetheart Night.
Tuesday, February 11
? The Vandalia Rotary Club meets at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.
? TOPS IL 2020 will meet in the Fayette County Hospital conference room. Weigh-in is from 5-5:30 p.m., with the meeting to follow.
? A Weight Watchers meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Vandalia; weigh-in is at 5 p.m. Visitors are welcome to attend the meeting free of charge.
? The Rainbow Reflections grief support group will meet from 6-7 p.m. in Wesley Hall at First United Methodist Church, 127 N. Fourth St., Vandalia. Those planning to attend the meeting or having questions are asked to call Mary Miller at 292-5366.

? The Vandalia Eagles Aerie and Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Vandalia Eagles Club. A vote will be taken on financing improvements to the Aerie home.

? Evans Public Library in Vandalia will host PACK (Pups Assisting Children with Kindness) from 5:30-6:45 p.m. Children of all ages are welcome to read to DarnFar Ranch's specially trained therapy dogs. Registration is required; to register, call the library, 283-2824, or stop by the library.
