? The Fayette County Courthouse will be closed from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for the annual employees' Christmas party.
? The Vandalia Park District Board of Trustees meets at 4 p.m. in the conference room at the Okaw Area Vocational Center.
? CenterPointe Church, located at 1616 Veterans Ave. in Vandalia, is holding free Weekly Fit Club sessions at 6 p.m. every Thursday.
? TOPS IL 1872, Ramsey, will meet at the Christian Church in Ramsey. Weigh-in is at 6:20 p.m., and the meeting is at 7 p.m

Friday, Dec. 12

? The Tri-County Beekeepers Association will not hold its regular monthly meeting. The next meeting is on Jan. 9, with a 6 p.m. potluck and 7 p.m. dinner. The group meets at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1540 E. State Route 140 in Greenville.

Saturday, Dec. 13

? Vandalia area Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are "Scouting for Food," with food donations going to Caring and Sharing. Beginning at 8 a.m., Scouts will be picking non-perishable food items in bags they dropped off on Saturday. Those wishing to donate but don't receive bags may drop food off at the Mother of Dolors Parish Center before noon next Saturday.
? The Vandalia Elementary School Honor Chorus will present its Christmas program at 7 p.m. in the VES gym.

Monday, Dec. 15

? The Evergreen Outreach Community Concert at 1 p.m. in Wesley Hall at First United Methodist Church, 127 N. Fourth St., Vandalia. Entry is through the back door of the church, next to the parking lot. The entire community is welcome and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, after the institutional and handicapped are seated. Reservations are not needed.   
? Brownstown Elementary School will host a "We Choose Health" walk at the school track. Community members, staff and students may join the walk any time between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. Those walking at least 20 minutes will be eligible to sign up for Subway gift cards at the end of the month. In case of inclement weather, the walk will be in the BES gym. Donations for Brownstown VFW Post 9770 will be accepted.
? The Vandalia City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at city hall.

Tuesday, Dec. 16

? The Vandalia Rotary Club meets at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.
? TOPS IL 2020 will meet in the Fayette County Hospital conference room. Weigh-in is from 5-5:30 p.m., with the meeting to follow.
? A Weight Watchers meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Vandalia; weigh-in is at 5 p.m. Visitors are welcome to attend the meeting free of charge.
? Rainbow Reflections, a grief support group, will meet from 6-7 p.m. in Wesley Hall at First United Methodist Church, 127 N. Fourth St., Vandalia. Those planning to attend are asked to contact Mary Miller, 292-5366.
? The Vandalia Board of Education meets at 5 p.m. at the district's administration center.
