? TOPS IL 1872, Ramsey, will meet at the Christian Church in Ramsey. Weigh-in is at 6:20 p.m. and the meeting is at 7 p.m.
? A NAR-ANON meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St., Vandalia. The group meets to: learn that drug abuse is an illness; encourage addicts to seek help; replace despair with hope; improve the family attitude; help individuals regain self-confidence.
? St. James Lutheran Church, 727 W. Gallatin St. in Vandalia, will hold its annual chili supper from 4-7 p.m.
? The Vandalia Lions Club will hold its annual Halloween Parade at 7 p.m. on Gallatin Street.
? "Hospital of Horrors," a haunted house created by the Vandalia Swimming Pool staff, will be open after the Vandalia Lions Club Halloween Parade at the former Washington School on South Eighth Street. The cost is $6, and the proceeds will go to the Vandalia Swimming Pool renovations.

? Bingo is being held at the Crawford-Hale American Legion Post 95 Home.
? "Hospital of Horrors," a haunted house created by the Vandalia Swimming Pool staff, will be open from 7-11 p.m. at the former Washington School on South Eighth Street. The cost is $6, and the proceeds will go to the Vandalia Swimming Pool renovations.
Saturday, Oct. 31

? Downtown Trick or Treat will be held in Vandalia from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. It includes a story time at Evans Public Library at 10 a.m., trick or treating downtown from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and a costume contest at Family Video at 12:30 p.m., with three age groups: 0-4, 5-9 and 10-13.
? Trick or Treat Night in Vandalia, 6-8 p.m.
? Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care will hold Safe Trick or Treat, 6-8 p.m.
? Bethel Baptist Church is holding Trunk or Treat in the Sunset Plaza parking lot, 6-8 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 1

? Metro Community Church will begin holding its 10 a.m. services at the former Jefferson Primary School on West Jefferson Street in Vandalia.
? Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 726 W. Fillmore St. in Vandalia, will hold a fish fry and gospel sing from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the parish hall. The cost is $5 or a free-will donation. At 1 p.m., Dave and Pat Pence will sing old-fashioned gospel songs. The public is invited.

Monday, Nov. 2

? An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 12:30-5:30 p.m. at South Central High School in Farina.
? Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St. in Vandalia, is offering a homework assistance program, "Clubhouse," from 3-5:15 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
? The Vandalia Lions Club meets at America's Best Value Inn. The executive board meets at 5:15 p.m., and the meal and regular meeting are at 6 p.m.
? Bingo will be held at 7 p.m. at the Vandalia Eagles Club, 112 N. Sixth St. Participants are asked to take non-perishable food items for Fayette County Outreach and stuffed animals to be used by the Vandalia Police Department.
? The Women of the Moose meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge.
? The Vandalia City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at city hall.

Tuesday, Nov. 3

? The Vandalia Rotary Club meets at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.
? The Fayette County Hospital Auxiliary meets at noon in the hospital conference room.
? The Grandparents/Relatives Raising Children support group meets from 1-2 p.m. at Evans Public Library in Vandalia. The group meets monthly and provides support, education and access to additional resources, including financial. For more information, contact Trisha Katt at 1-217-347-7179, ext. 1062.
? Rainbow Reflections, a local grief support group, will meet from 6-7 p.m. in Wesley Hall at First United Methodist Church, 127 N. Fourth St., Vandalia. Those planning to attend the meeting are asked to contact Mary Miller at 292-5366.

? Evans Public Library in Vandalia will hold a story time at 10 a.m. Children of all ages are invited.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children ages 12 and under. The proceeds go to the Men's Coats and Shoes Project for Fayette County children and Mulberry Grove children at Christmas.
? Soroptimist International of Vandalia is holding a public celebration of its 50th anniversary from 5-7 p.m. at The Copper Penny Bar and Grille, 125 S. Fourth St. Free appetizers and drinks will be available while they last.

? Evans Public Library's Teen Advisory Board meets at 4 p.m. Teens interested in joining the board should contact Shawna Sprague at the library, 283-2824.
? Pro Wrestling Epic will present "Beatdown in Brownstown" at 6:30 p.m. in the Brownstown Junior-Senior High School gym. The pro wrestling program benefits the district's athletic department and public relations fund. Tickets are $12 for floor seats, $10 for bleacher seats and $5 for children age 12 and under. Floor seats can be reserved by calling the BHS office, 427-3839. Tickets will be sold at the door on the night of the wrestling.
