? The Vandalia Chamber of Commerce annual banquet is being held at 8th Day Venue on Veterans Avenue. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. is followed by the award of Abe Awards. Tickets are $25 and must be purchased in advance; tickes are available at the chamber office on the second floor of FNB Community Bank at Fifth and Gallatin streets in Vandalia.

? A Nar-Anon meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St., Vandalia.
Saturday, January 25
? The South Central High School FFA is holding a trivia night this Saturday night in the cafeteria at South Central High School. The entry fee for teams of up to eight people is $80. Prizes will be awarded for first place, last place, best-decorated table and most-enthusiastic table. Teams are asked to pre-register by email at bkramer@southcentralschools.org.

? This Friday is the registration deadline for the Johnny Hunt Men's Conference on Feb. 8 at Bethel Baptist Church on Ill. Route 185, about seven miles northwest of Vandalia. More information about the conference is on page 1B of this issue.
? Vandalia Christian Academy is holding a trivia and silent auction night at Unity Baptist Church on Ill. Route 185 at Airport Road. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event begins at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $12 per person and teams of six to eight people are invited.
