? The seventh annual JORDAN (Join Our Rage Against Neurofibromatosis) fuNFest will be held from noon-6 p.m. at Gatch Lake. It includes kids' games, bounce houses, facepainting, silent and live auctions, bake sale, gun raffles, cow pattie bingo and a children's special by Diekemper Photography from noon-4 p.m. For more information, contact Amanda Walk, 267-2549. To get to Gatch Lake, take U.S. Route 51 south of Vandalia, turn onto the St. Peter Blacktop and follow signs.

? The Vandalia Lions Club meets at Ponderosa Steakhouse. The executive board meets at 5:30 p.m., the meal is at 6 p.m. and the meeting is at 6:30 p.m.

? The Vandalia Rotary Club meets at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.
? The Fayette County Board meets at 7 p.m. in the large courtroom at the Fayette County Courthouse in Vandalia.
? The Brownstown VFW Post 9770 Auxiliary meets at 7:15 p.m. at the Post 9770 Home.
? The Evans Public Library District Board of Trustees meets at 7:30 p.m. at the library.
Wednesday, September 13
? Bingo resumes at the Vandalia Moose Lodge in Vandalia. It starts at 7 p.m., with Lightning at 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 14
? Evans Public Library's Homeschool Group meets from 1-2 p.m. at the library. Anyone interested in joining the group should contact Shawna Sprague at the library, 283-2824.
? The Vandalia Park District Board of Commissioners meets at 4:30 p.m. in the Lincoln Room at Evans Public Library.

? The Fayette County Cancer Fund will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. in the conference room at Fayette County Hospital to finalize plans for the group's Carnival in the Park on Sept. 23.
Friday, September 15
? The Hill's Fort Rendezvous will be held Friday through Sunday at the American Farm Heritage Museum south of Greenville off of Ill. Route 127. It will feature cannon firings, rope making, bullet molding, fur traders and War of 1812 and Colonial re-enactors. Friday is School Day.

? The 9-Mile Gut Check is being held by Brownstown VFW Post 9770. The run/walk being at 8 a.m. at the American Legion Home in Vandalia and ends at the VFW Home in Brownstown. The registration fee of $35 includes a meal and refreshments after the event, and registrations can either be sent to: Brownstown VFW Post 9770, P.O. Box 27, Brownstown, Ill. 62418; or dropped off at Fayette County Real Estate in Vandalia. The cost for meal only is $10.
