Kull Funeral Home to plant more trees
as memorials

Kull Funeral Homes of Altamont and St. Elmo has renewed its affiliation with the Lofty Oaks Association, a New Hampshire-based organization dedicated to reforestation and conservation efforts in Illinois.
The firm arranges to have a tree planted for each service that it performs. By doing so, it provides a living memorial in honor of the deceased and also renews the forest life in the state.
After each funeral service, family members and friends are informed that Lynn A. Kull of Kull Funeral Homes has arranged for a memorial tree to be planted.
The trees are planted in the spring and fall. To date, more than 15,000 trees have been planted in Illinois.

Shelter Insurance now ranks third in poll
of customers

Shelter Mutual Insurance Co. recently was named the third-highest ranking automobile insurance companies in customer satisfaction.
The recognition was based on the results of a national auto insurance study by J.D. Powers and Associates.
Shelter advanced one position from its fourth-place ranking last year.
The study, released on June 28, compiles the results of more than 28,000 responses from auto insurance policyholders. It measures customer satisfaction with auto insurance companies in five areas: interaction, price, policy offerings, billing and payment, and claims.
