Bunny Population Growing
Since Bill’s little baby bunny friend started hanging around the chicken pen area, we have seen other apparent members of his family.
Note: Although our first thought was to name  him “Thumper,” we’ve decided a more appropriate name for him would be “Buddy,” as he doesn’t seem to be afraid of Bill, but lets him get within 3 feet before he moves away.
Bill had seen Buddy and his brother in the area when they were still in the nest, but hadn’t seen the brother for some time. We feared for his life, but now he is being seen a little farther down the lane, along with two bigger bunnies.
We figure Buddy stayed here and his brother joined their parents down the lane. Sometimes when Katie the doggie sees him, she barks, but Buddy doesn’t seem frightened. We figure he knows she can’t reach him from her pen.
Now, we are not sure of the genders of the bunnies, but until we know differently, they will be referred to as “Buddy and his brother.”
‘Pete,’ Our (Dog) House guest …
… has returned to his Missouri home with (Bill’s) brother, Joe Blackwell, and to see their reunion was touching. Pete climbed in Joe’s car and for few seconds sat behind the steering wheel, ready to go. “Reunion” pictures were taken, and we are not sure who was the happiest, Joe or Pete. By the wagging of his tail, we figure Pete was the happiest, but Joe had the biggest smile on his face.
