Brownstown man charged in stabbing

A Brownstown man is in Fayette County Jail on $150,000 bond for allegedly stabbing two individuals over the weekend.

Fayette County State’s Attorney Stephen Friedel filed information on Tuesday charging Jerry L. Carroll, 38, with one count of armed violence and three counts of aggravated battery.

Judge James Roberts of Hillsboro set Carroll’s bond during the Brownstown man’s first appearance in court on Tuesday afternoon.
