'Believing God' series at Northside
“Believing God: Experiencing a Fresh Explosion of Faith,” a 10-week DVD series, begins next Thursday at Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St., Vandalia.

Faye Watson is the facilitator for the series, which is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. each Thursday at the church. Those who plan to attend and want to have a workbook can contact Watson, 267-8487.

Liberty Christian birthday celebration
Liberty Christian Church in rural Brownstown, which was formed on June 20, 1846, will celebrate its 170th birthday with a 10 a.m. worship service, a noon potluck and an open house from 2-4 p.m. in the fellowship hall. The church is located five miles north of Brownstown on College Street.

'Boundaries in Marriage' sessions
Lighthouse Pregnancy and Health Services will be offering an eight-session group, "Boundaries in Marriage," beginning Wednesday, June 22, at 10 a.m. The group will run through Wednesday, Aug. 17, and there will be no group on July 6.
Tamela Polanin, a licensed professional counselor, will be leading the group. This small group is designed to help couples improve their relationships by gaining life-changing insights on: what boundaries are, why they are vital to a healthy marriage, and how each partner can establish them; how values form the structure and architecture of marriage; how to protect your marriage from intruders, whether other people or personal idols; and how to work with a spouse who understands and values boundaries, and a spouse who does not.
To sign up, call 283-8750 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ,Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. and noon on Friday.  Clients of LHPS will receive five baby bucks for each session, but couples do not have to be a Lighthouse client to attend.
