Black assesses tenure as county board chairman

Dean Black knows that some of the decisions he was involved in while serving as chairman of the Fayette County Board – including the sale of the county's coal rights – were not well received by some residents of the county.

But Black, who resigned earlier this month after five years as the board chairman, said that his priority was always doing the best he could to serve all residents of the county.

Black, who served as a District 7 representative on the board for nine years, said he feels good about his tenure as the board chairman, for several reasons.
