Beulah M. Brazle, 87, Brownstown

Beulah M. Brazle, 87, of Brownstown, died at 7:55 p.m. on Friday at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Claggett Funeral Home in Brownstown, with John Robinson and Jay Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery in rural Brownstown. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials: Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care activity fund or donor’s choice.

Mrs. Brazle was born on June 20, 1921, in Sefton Township, rural Brownstown, the daughter of Samuel and Bessie Bosomworth Schaub. She married Hubert Brazle on Dec. 9, 1939; he died on March 10, 2003.

She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Christian Church in Brownstown.

She is survived by daughters, Sheryl Brazle of Brownstown, and Susan and her husband Terry Smith of Brownstown; grandsons, Matthew Smith and his wife Jame of Brownstown, and Mitchell Smith of Brownstown; great-granddaughter, Emalee Grace Smith; stepgrandsons, Mike Smith and his wife Lisa of Blue Mound, and Chad Smith and his wife Amber of Altamont; stepgranddaughter, Michelle and her husband Loren Blanton of Florissant, Mo.; and nine great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Bessie; three brothers; and two sisters.
