Senior hurler sets school record for career wins

By Andrew Harner

The record-setting spring continued for St. Elmo senior Connor Beasley on Wednesday.

Pitching in the second game of a double-header, Beasley pitched a no-hitter, striking out 19 batters to tie his own school record in a 1-0 win for the Eagles. He had previously struck out 19 batters on April 8.

With the win, Beasley set the school record for career wins with 31. Logan Mahon had previously held that record.

Ramsey's Waylon Davis was the tough-luck loser in the game, allowing just two hits and one walk over his six innings of work.

The lone run came from Beasley on a double in the sixth inning which scored junior Levi Maxey.

In game one, St. Elmo defeated Odin, 8-6.
