Brownstown/St. Elmo comes on strong late to top NTC foe South Central
The Bombers improved to 13-12 Friday as they defeated National Trail Conference foe South Central, 7-5. Despite jumping out to a 5-0 lead after four innings of play, the Cougars were unable to hang on, allowing seven runs in the fifth and sixth to propel BSE to the win.  
For BSE, Noah Flowers picked up the win, tossing five innings in relief of Dalton Denton who gave up the extent of South Central’s offense. BSE made good use of only three hits, as Hunter Seaton led the way with a team-high four RBI’s.

Vandals bats erupt for 20 hits, comes out on top in slugfest with Litchfield, 14-12
The Vandals’ bats came alive Friday evening, tallying 20 hits and 14 runs, scoring just enough to improve to 10-15.
Nathan Casey finished with a team-high three RBI’s while seven other Vandal batters recorded multi-hit games.  Garett McNary picked up his first win of the season, tossing five innings and allowing seven runs (six earned) while walking three and striking out three.
