The Warriors picked up a key Egyptian-Illini Conference victory on Tuesday, knocking off Beecher City, 57-42.

The victory keeps Patoka undefeated in conference play, and puts them in prime position to win the conference title.

Senior Johnnie Clift had 16 points, and freshman Jered Cain added 14 for the Warriors (16-6, 3-0 EIC), who led throughout the game.

The Warriors picked up a nonconference win over Route 51 rival Sandoval.

Playing on the road last Friday, senior Johnnie Clift scored 24 points to lead three players in double figures in the 70-57 win.

Senior Seth Allen scored 14 and freshman Jered Cain added 13 for the Warriors, who took a two-point lead after the first quarter and slowly extended it throughout the game to beat Sandoval for the second time this season.

ST. ELMO/BROWNSTOWN

The Eagles took an Egyptian-Illini Conference loss to Christ Our Rock Lutheran on Tuesday.

Senior Jacob Behrends scored 21 points, and senior Levi Maxey added 13, but it wasn't enough to power the Eagles in a 51-47 loss that saw CORL rally in the fourth quarter.

The Silver Stallions trailed 39-35 going to the fourth quarter, but scored 16 points in the final eight minutes to earn the win and drop the Eagles to 14-10 (3-2 EIC)

Senior Levi Maxey was the only player in double figures as the Eagles fell at Dieterich last Friday in their second National Trail Conference loss of the season.

Maxey had 24 points, but three Movin’ Maroons scored at least 12 points in the 59-45 win.

SEB (14-9, 5-2 NTC) had a slow start, scoring just four points in the first period and were unable to get back in the game.

South Central lost on Tuesday to National Trail Conference rival St. Anthony, 57-37.

Junior Evan Langley had 14 points to lead the Cougars (2-21, 0-8 NTC), and junior Noah Powless added 11.

The Cougars picked up their second win of the season on Monday, with a 50-44 victory against Cisne.

Junior Evan Langley scored a game-high 15 points, and sophomore Brett Harmeier added 11 for South Central (2-20).

The Cougars trailed by four at halftime and by one after three quarters, but a 20-point outburst in the final eight minutes gave them the win.

South Central made 13-of-18 free throws in that quarter.

The Lady Cougars dropped their final regular season game of the season last Saturday, falling 49-34 to Wayne City.

Freshman Abby Hahn had a team-high 13 points, and freshman Sydney Wilkins added seven for South Central (1-19).

Flora dismantled South Central, 73-48, in boys basketball action last Saturday.

Junior Evan Langley had 12 points, and sophomore Chase Riley had 10 to lead the Cougars (1-20), who surrendered 47 points in the middle two quarters of the loss.

Junior Evan Langley and sophomore Chase Riley had nearly identical games with 14 points, and sophomore Brett Harmeier added 12 points for South Central (1-19, 0-7 NTC).

The Cougars faced a narrow deficit for the most of the game.
