Area girls roundup: South Central tops Webber, BSE, Ramsey girls fall

 FARINA — South Central held on late for a 38-31 win over Webber on Thursday night.
The win pushed South Central's record to 4-6 on the season.
Webber led, 15-11, at halftime. But the Lady Cougars went on an 11-4 run in the third period to take the lead. South Central outscored Webber, 16-12, in the fourth quarter to finish off the game.
Keely Smith scored 14 points to lead the Lady Cougars, with Abby Hahn adding 11 points.
South Central will head to the Dieterich Holiday Tournament on Dec. 26.

BSE girls fall at Neoga
NEOGA — Audriana Pruett's poured in 25 points, but Brownstown/St. Elmo fell, 67-53, to Neoga last Thursday night.
Pruett made nine field goals, including three from long distance. She also hit four of six free throws for a season high in points.
Neoga pulled out to a 16-7 lead. By the break, the hosts had a 14-point lead, 34-20.
EC Thies scored 28 points for Neoga.
SEB will also be competing to the Dieterich Holiday Tournament.

RAMSEY — Sandoval improved to 9-1 on the season with a 54-37 victory over Ramsey on Wednesday night.
Kayla Zimmerman scored 20 points for Ramsey, while Skye Kimberlin added nine and Megan Kimberlin chipped in eight points.
After a 13-0 run in the second period, Sandoval had a 15-point lead by halftime.
The Lady Rams cut the deficit to nine by the end of the third period, but Sandoval used a 16-8 run to finish the game.
Bethany Kunick scored 16 points for the Lady Blackhawks and Haleigh Day and Kylie Parson added 11 points apiece.
The Lady Rams fell to 2-7 with the loss.
Ramsey's girls are at the Tri City/SV Tournament on Dec. 27-30.
