? TOPS IL 1872, Ramsey, will meet at the Christian Church in Ramsey. Weigh-in is at 6:20 p.m., and the meeting is at 7 p.m. For more information, contact Donna Morell at 423-2916.
Friday, May 20

? The CEFS Economic Opportunity Corp. Fayette County Outreach, located at 517 W. Gallatin St. in Vandalia, will hold an open house from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The public is invited. Refreshments will be served, and door prizes will be given away.
? Patoka High School will hold commencement exercises at 7 p.m. in the school gym.
? Swofford's Country Karaoke Relay for Life team will hold nightgolf at Ramsey Lake Golf Course at 9 a.m. The cost is $25 per person, and a hot dog bar will be available before and during golf. Mulligans can be purchased, a 50/50 drawing will be held and cancer awareness bracelets will be available.
Saturday, May 21

? Boy Scout Troop 118 will hold a bake sale from 9 a.m.-noon at First National Bank in Brownstown, with proceeds to benefit the Wilburn family, which recently lost its home and possessions to fire.
? A sale of Krispy Kreme doughnuts is being held at First National Bank downtown Vandalia branch to benefit the Great Steps for NF (neurofibromatosis) Walk. The sale begins at 9 a.m. and will continue until all doughnuts are sold. The local efforts for the Great Steps for NF Walk are led by the Brian and Amanda Walk family. Jordan Walk is battling the disease.
? A Relay for Life yard sale will be held from 8 a.m.-noon in the Octochem parking lot  on Wagner Street, north of Days Inn. On sale will be tickets for the 50/50 raffle drawing to be held at Relay for Life on June 4.
? A bake sale and yard sale for Relay for Life will be held from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. at Vandalia Rehab, 1500 W. St. Louis Ave., Vandalia. Bags will be given to yard sale customers, and they may fill the bags for $5. Donations of baked goods and yard sale items are being accepted; call Dave at 283-4262.
? Mulberry Grove High School will hold commencement exercises at 1 p.m. in the high school gym.
? Brownstown High School will hold commencement exercises at 3 p.m. in the high school gym.
? Vandalia Community High School will hold commencement exercises at 7 p.m. in the high school gym.
? St. Elmo High School will hold commencement exercises at 7 p.m. in the high school gym.
? A country music dance and potluck is held from 7-10 p.m. every Saturday at 202 W. Madison St. in Ramsey (the former Baptist Church). Admission is $5.

? The Fayette County Relay for Life Team Jennifer Knebel will hold a bake sale at Wal-Mart, beginning at noon.
? Ramsey High School will hold commencement exercises at 3 p.m. in the high school gym.
Monday, May 23

? The Vandalia Lions Club will meet at Days Inn. The executive board meets at 5:15 p.m., and the regular club meeting is at 6 p.m.
Tuesday, May 24

? The Vandalia Rotary Club will meet at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.
? The Vandalia Rotary Club will hold its blood drive challenge, with Fayette County Hospital challenging the Rotary Club, at the American Red Cross blood drive held from noon-6 p.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge. The group with the most donors supporting it will receive a $200 donation to give to a charitable organization.
? A freshman orientation session will be held at 7 p.m. at Vandalia Community High School. All incoming freshmen and their parents are encouraged to attend.
Wednesday, May 25

? TOPS IL 2020 will meet at 5:45 p.m. in the Fayette County Hospital conference room. Weigh-in is from 5-5:40 p.m.

? Evans Public Library in Vandalia will hold a lapsit story time at 6 p.m. The theme is, "Here Comes Peter Cottontail."
? A Relay for Life karaoke contest will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Lincoln Park in the 300 block of West Gallatin Street in Vandalia. Registration begins at 6 p.m. The entry fee is $10, and cash prizes will be awarded. Call 425-3843 or 704-5293 to confirm song availability, or singers may bring their own karaoke CDs. Practice sessions will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
