The South Central High School baseball team defeated Noble 11-1 during the opening round of the Midland Trail Conference Tournament on Monday.
Luke Krajefska picked up the win for the Cougars. Cole Armstrong and Rudy Hablewitz each had two hits and three RBIs.
Friday, Sept. 23
South Central defeated Noble 14-5 on Friday.
Colton Wilkins got the win for the Cougars, pitching four innings and striking out three.
Armstrong was 3-for-3 for South Central, falling a home run short of a cycle. Reid Drewes was 3-for-5 with four RBIs, and Wilkins was 3-for-5 with two doubles and three RBI.
Thursday, Sept. 23
South Central was defeated 13-3 by Neoga last Thursday.
Derek Harmeier took the loss for the Cougars, and Larry Schoreck pitched in relief.
Drewes was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for South Central.
Wednesday, Sept. 22
vs. St. Anthony
South Central defeated St. Anthony 6-4 last Wednesday. Armstrong notched the victory for the Cougars.
Colby Bushue was 3-for-4 at the plate, and Wilkins tied the game in the fifth with a two-run home run. Drewes brought in the go-ahead run with an RBI single later that inning.
Tuesday, Sept. 21
South Central defeated Cisne 14-4 in six innings last Tuesday. Bushue earned the win for the Cougars, tossing a complete game and striking out 11.
Fischer Tharp had three RBIs for South Central, and Bret Pitts hit a solo home run in the sixth.
