Anniversary

Jim and Erma Budlove of San Diego, Calif., and St. Elmo celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on Jan. 7, with dinner in the Fireside Room.
While they had a long waiting list of friends, they were able to invite only 88 because of the size of the room.
The dinner was a time for them to thank those attending for their love and friendship for the past 28 years, and to thank God that their paths in life had crossed.
Fresh flowers adorned the fireplace, mantel and other areas of the room. Rose bouquets adorned each linen-covered table
The dinner included a DVD presentation that included 92 photographs, and the Budloves gave summaries of their lives.
There was also a time for those attending to share their memories.
The Budloves have been very active in mission work, and also in local and city affairs. They have been chaplains for many years.
They have enjoyed their lives in retirement in San Diego.
They have eight children, 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Erma was born near St. Elmo. Her son, Jack Bail and his wife Barbara, live across the meadow from their cottage near St. Elmo.
