Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Al Niemeyer of St. Elmo will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 2, with an open house from 2-4 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Elmo.

Albert Niemeyer and Janice Watson were married by the Rev. Robert Morris on Aug. 4, 1962, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Elmo.
The couple has two children: Natalie and her husband John Stout of St. Elmo, and Kirk Niemeyer and his wife Lisa of St. Elmo.
They have four grandchildren: Stefanie and her husband Jarad Crumbley of Hiram, Ga., and Austin Stout, Derek Rio and Anna Niemeyer, all of St. Elmo.
They have two great-grandchildren: Carter and Ansley Crumbley of Hiram, Ga.
Al is engaged in farming, and Jan is retired.
