Alderman wants more effort on notices of hearings

As the Vandalia City Council made mention of an upcoming Zoning Board of Adjustments meeting, one alderman said he’d like city officials to consider putting a little more effort into informing residents of proposed zoning changes.
But, another alderman said he thinks that that would be a waste of time and money.
During Monday’s council meeting, an Aug. 22 zoning board hearing on a special use permit request filed by Margaret Summann and her father, Charles R. Sharp, was mentioned.
